“Good condition” means something different depending on who’s selling. Ours means the same thing every single time. Here’s our full grading scale, laid out in plain English, so you know exactly what’s landing in your hands before a single brick (or dollar) changes hands.

The Dapper Grading Scale
Sets and minifigures wear differently, so they get graded differently too. Every listing gets one tier from each scale below, right up front, no exceptions.
For Sets
NIB
New in Box
Factory-sealed and untouched since it left the warehouse. We don’t peek, we don’t “just check,” and the shrink wrap says the rest.
CIB
Complete in Box
Opened, but everything’s still here: box, instructions, every piece, every minifig. We checked, so you don’t have to.
BUILT & DISPLAYED
Assembled and Complete
Already built, still all there. Perfect if you’d rather display it tonight than spend a weekend on it.
INCOMPLETE
Missing Pieces, Disclosed
Not everything made it home. We list exactly what’s missing in the description, so it’s never a surprise at checkout.

SEALED BAG
Blind Bag, Still Blind
Only true for Collectible Minifigures still in the original sealed polybag. Regular minifigs don’t come in bags, so we won’t pretend they do.
LIKE NEW
No Visible Wear
Clean prints, no cracks, no scuffs. Loose, but you’d never guess it wasn’t factory-fresh.
LIGHTLY USED
Minor Wear, Displays Well
A little handling, maybe a faint mark. Still looks sharp on a shelf or in a build.

Visible Wear, Priced For It
Cracks, faded print, the works. Priced to match, and still a steal for a build or a bin.
No Surprises
What “Open Box” Actually Means
An open box isn’t a mystery box. Every listing for a CIB or Incomplete set spells out exactly what’s inside it: every minifig accounted for (or not), instructions included or missing, extra bags still sealed or already cracked open. If something’s not there, we say so in the listing, not after you’ve already unpacked it on the kitchen table.

If something doesn’t match what we told you, we’ll make it right. That’s not a policy we had to write down. That’s just how we run the shop.
